Use Case Summary

Problem Statement

This model was built with the aim to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus. As many countries continue their desperate fight to control the infection rate and spread of the virus, we have seen the integration of many unfamiliar; and somewhat inconvenient, protection measures being introduced into society over the past year. One of these particular measures is the mandatory requirement of wearing a protective face mask in shops, cafes, restaurants, and other compact or enclosed social environments.

Objective

This project looks at automating the task of checking whether someone is wearing a protective mask or notusing computer vision and deep learning algorithms.

Data Description

This dataset contains853images belonging to3classes, and their bounding boxes in the PASCAL VOC format. The classes are:

  • With mask-298 images
  • Without mask - 466 images
  • Mask worn incorrectly - 89 images

How to use the model?

First, choose the file you want to predict.
Press submit.
Voila! You can see your output now!





What are the evaluation metrics used?



Lossis nothing but a prediction error of Neural Net. And the method to calculate thelossis calledLossFunction
learning rate affectshow quickly our model can converge to local minima (aka arrive at the bestaccuracy).
